Privacy policy

This site is built to collect as little as possible: no cookies, no analytics, no advertising, no forms. Here is exactly what happens when you visit it or write to me.

01In short

  • No cookies are set: no analytics, no advertising, no embedded social networks.
  • No forms: you get in touch from your own email.
  • Fonts and images are served by the site itself, with no call to Google Fonts or any other third-party service.
  • Your data is never sold, rented or shared.

03When you visit the site

Like any web server, the one run by the hosting provider LWS (Ligne Web Services) logs technical data with each request: IP address, date and time, requested page, browser and operating system. These logs are used only to run and protect the site (legal basis: legitimate interest, Article 6(1)(f) GDPR). The host keeps them for the period set by the rules that apply to hosting providers, which is one year for connection data.

04Project films

Some project pages play a film loaded from the Cloudflare R2 storage (Cloudflare, Inc.). When that film loads (as you reach the video sequence, or when you play it), your browser sends your IP address to Cloudflare, which may process it outside the European Union under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework. Nothing else on the page comes from a third-party service.

05When you write to me

If you write to pab@pabstudio.fr, I use your address, your name and the content of your messages to reply and, if you wish, to prepare a proposal and follow up on your project (legal basis: steps taken at your request before entering into a contract, Article 6(1)(b) GDPR). The mailbox is hosted by LWS (Ligne Web Services).

If nothing comes of it, these exchanges are deleted no later than three years after our last contact. If we work together, they are kept for the legal period that applies to business records.

06Storage in your browser

While you watch the home page, the site notes the number of the last chapter shown in your browser’s session storage (sessionStorage). This information never leaves your device and is erased when you close the tab. No other storage is used, so no consent banner is needed.

07Links to third-party services

Links to the App Store, Fab, LinkedIn, X or Discord lead to services with their own privacy policies. They receive nothing from this site unless you click.

08Your rights

You have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, object to and port your data, and to set instructions for what happens to it after your death.

To exercise them, write to pab@pabstudio.fr; I reply within one month. If you believe your rights are not respected, you can lodge a complaint with the French data protection authority, the CNIL, 3 place de Fontenoy, TSA 80715, 75334 Paris Cedex 07, France.

09Security

The site is served over HTTPS and has no accounts, no database and no input fields: there is nothing on your side to steal.

10Changes to this policy

This policy follows the changes to the site. The date of the last update is shown at the top of the page.
